As part of her official mission to China, El Salvador’s Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs visited Huawei’s facilities in Shenzhen, with the goal of deepening the country’s relationship with the tech giant and identifying strategic opportunities for collaboration.
This marks the second time the diplomat has been welcomed by the Asian company, which in recent years has established itself as a global leader in information and communication technologies (ICT), as well as in digital products and services.

El Salvador is particularly interested in forging a partnership with Huawei to boost productive projects, business opportunities, and cooperation. Among the projected areas of interest for joint work with Huawei are technology development, training, and human capital formation.
«During this visit, we learned about this important Chinese company’s experience in the energy and technology sectors, as well as possible solutions we can implement in our country,» Vice Minister Mira stated regarding the visit.
So far, collaborations with Huawei have supported educational and training projects such as «Seeds for the Future» and «Women in Technology.» The company has also contributed to efforts focused on using technology and digitalization in education and ICT training.
Additionally, Huawei maintains a significant presence in El Salvador, employing over 130 people and generating numerous business opportunities with local companies and partners.
