The government prepares a new shipment of tablets for Salvadoran students

The President, Nayib Bukele confirmed on Thursday night through his official Twitter account the arrival of a new shipment of Lenovo tablets, which will be delivered to Salvadoran students in the public system.

The president pointed out that the tablets will be delivered to students from 1st to 3rd grade in the country’s public school system, emphasizing that students from 4th grade to high school are receiving laptops as part of the support for their school activities.

A special delegation made up of several high-level authorities from the government of El Salvador met with the Vice President and Corporate Officer of Ericsson, Mikael Bäck, and with the president of Ericsson for Latin America, Chafic Nassif, to present the investment opportunities that the Connectivity Plan offers in El Salvador with projects such as: 4G and 5G technology for better internet in the national territory; digital ecosystems; artificial intelligence; and the Internet of Things (IOT). A bidding process begins to start up a smart traffic light system

The government of President Nayib Bukele, through the Ministry of Public Works (MOP), announced on Monday that they have started the bidding process to launch a system of intelligent traffic lights and photofines.

Five cryptocurrency ATMs have been strategically installed by the government of El Salvador in North Texas. They’ve been placed at places Salvadorans frequently visit, like traditional Salvadoran cuisine restaurants and the Dallas consulate.

Guaranteed connectivity for 1.3 million public sector students and their teachers

This Thursday, the interim Minister of Education, Mauricio Pineda, together with representatives of telephone companies in El Salvador, gave a conference to expand information about the «Connectivity for Teachers and Students in the Public Sector» initiative. The connectivity project will benefit more than 1,300,000 students and 43,000 teachers in the public sector.
