Under President Nayib Bukele, cooperation relations with Luxembourg have been strengthened with the aim of continuing to build strong ties and work together for the benefit of the Salvadoran population.
El Salvador and Luxembourg have formalized a groundbreaking cooperation agreement focused on youth employment and digital development. The agreement was signed by Chancellor Alexandra Hill Tinoco on behalf of the Government of El Salvador, in collaboration with representatives from the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
The newly signed protocol centers on the ambitious project titled “Youth Employment and Digitalization,” which aims to address two of the most pressing challenges facing young people in El Salvador: unemployment and the digital skills gap. The initiative underscores a commitment from Luxembourg to support the development and implementation of strategies designed to create job opportunities and advance digital literacy among Salvadoran youth.
A New Era of Cooperation
The partnership marks a pivotal moment in the relationship between El Salvador and Luxembourg, bringing together the strengths and resources of both nations to tackle common global challenges. Chancellor Alexandra Hill Tinoco emphasized the importance of this collaboration in her remarks during the signing ceremony. “This agreement represents a significant leap forward for our country’s economic and technological progress. By working closely with Luxembourg, we are not only investing in the future of our young people but also setting a benchmark for international cooperation in addressing youth unemployment and digital transformation.”
The project will be spearheaded by El Salvador’s Ministry of Economy, which will oversee the execution of various programs and initiatives designed to meet the objectives outlined in the agreement. Luxembourg, known for its robust economic stability and advanced digital infrastructure, has pledged to provide both financial support and technical expertise to ensure the success of the project.
