Vice President Félix Ulloa, representing President Nayib Bukele, participated in the Third Summit of the Voice of the Global South, a virtual event organized by the Government of India. The summit, which convened senior officials and delegates from over 170 nations, focused on developing initiatives for equitable and efficient global governance and fostering dialogue on shared challenges.
In his speech, Vice President Ulloa expressed appreciation for India’s exemplary leadership during its G20 presidency and its role in addressing contemporary global issues. He emphasized the importance of translating discussions into concrete actions that enhance the quality of life worldwide.
Ulloa highlighted El Salvador’s significant achievements under the Territorial Control Plan, which has made the country the safest in the Western Hemisphere. He also pointed to the National Integral Development Strategy (ENDI) as a key driver of economic and social progress, alongside efforts to rejuvenate agriculture and bridge the digital divide through the Links to Education Program.
Additionally, the Vice President underscored El Salvador’s commitment to environmental protection and clean energy. He cited the country’s leadership in the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and the recent establishment of an organization to advance its Nuclear Energy Program. Ulloa reaffirmed the Salvadoran government’s dedication to development, innovation, environmental stewardship, and the well-being of its citizens.
