The European Union reaffirms its support for improving security and preventing violence in El Salvador.

The ambassador of the European Union in El Salvador, François Roudié, participated together with the president of the republic, Nayib Bukele, and the UNHCR representative, Laura Almirall, in the inauguration of two of the six Urban Centers for Well-being and Opportunities (CUBO) that were delivered to the population.

The officials were involved in the activities carried out in the Santa Lucía neighborhood, in Mejicanos; and in the San José II neighborhood, in the Soyapango municipality.

In this sense, the ambassador of the European Union reaffirmed the commitment that he has with El Salvador, through the improvement of citizen security and coexistence, in order to prevent violence:

“For years, the European Union has invested in this project. A CUBE is not the end, but the beginning of a new path of opportunities and the engine of change in a community. This is a place of active citizenship and coexistence, where all people can express themselves, dialogue, debate, and be listened to, even criticized, with respect. A place where human rights are guaranteed,” Roudié said.
