Armored rural patrol vehicles are part of the third phase of the Territorial Control Plan

President Nayib Bukele presented the first armored vehicles of the Armed Forces. The vehicles were acquired as part of Phase 3 of the Territorial Control Plan to reinforce security operations, especially in rural areas.

«The first rural patrol vehicles of the Armed Forces arrive, acquired as part of Phase 3 of the Territorial Control Plan. They go live today. These armored vehicles can go through almost any terrain, ravines, mountains, etc.» — as reported by the president through his social networks.

Phase 3 has the «Modernization» component, which will create the technological and tactical conditions for security institutions in the fight against crime.

Last week, the criminal structures launched an offensive that left more than 70 dead in two days, and the government’s response has been forceful and has captured more than 1,800 gang members and put stricter measures in prisons.
