In less than ten months, ARENA and the FMLN spent more than $350,000 on rent and painting for temporary offices

After the audits that were carried out within the Salvadoran Congress, deputy Ernesto Castro reported that, in just 9 months of 2019, the FMLN and ARENA spent more than $350,000 on rent and painting for temporary offices.

The legislator explained that the FMLN spent $19,500 on monthly rent, despite the fact that it only had 18 deputies.

For its part, ARENA spent more than $100,000 on purchases of paint and drywall partitions for offices that it only used for a few months.

In this sense, he mentioned that Salvadorans know that past legislatures used this state power to carry out all kinds of abuses.
