The JW Marriott San Salvador is moving closer to its debut as construction advances with the completion of its model rooms, providing the first detailed preview of the design, atmosphere and luxury experience planned for the new five-star property.
Fernando Poma, President of Real Hotels & Resorts and Chairman of the Board of Grupo Poma, recently toured the completed model rooms alongside executives from Grupo Roble and Real Hotels & Resorts. The hotel will form part of an ambitious mixed-use development surrounding Multiplaza, which will also feature an office building, theater, expanded retail space, residential towers and a chapel.
Poma described the project as a timely investment amid the expansion of El Salvador’s tourism sector.
“We feel that now is the best time to do it; tourism has increased significantly in El Salvador. We’ve gone from one million tourists to more than four million. We deserve to have a world-class, five-star hotel.”
The JW Marriott San Salvador will become the 25th property in the Real Hotels & Resorts portfolio and will expand the company’s JW Marriott presence in the region, joining its properties in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, and Bogotá, Colombia.
The development adds another major luxury hospitality project to El Salvador’s growing tourism infrastructure, responding to increased international visitation while introducing an internationally recognized five-star hotel brand to San Salvador.
With the model rooms now completed, the project has reached a milestone that offers a first look at the premium hospitality concept expected to define the JW Marriott San Salvador and its role within the capital’s evolving urban and tourism landscape.
