El Salvador Tokenizes Apple, Microsoft and Walmart Shares in Record 233-Asset Expansion

El Salvador has significantly expanded its digital asset ecosystem in 2026, adding 233 new tokens to the country’s official state registry, according to the National Commission of Digital Assets (CNAD).

The latest additions include tokenized shares linked to major global companies such as Apple ($AAPL), Microsoft ($MSFT), and Walmart ($WMT). The registry also features digital assets associated with companies and institutions operating across the region, broadening the range of tokenized investment opportunities available within El Salvador’s regulated framework.

The increase underscores the country’s continued efforts to develop a regulatory environment for digital assets and blockchain-based financial instruments. By incorporating assets connected to internationally recognized companies alongside regional entities, El Salvador is positioning its digital asset market toward greater diversification and international participation.

The 233 new registrations in 2026 further reinforce El Salvador’s emergence as a notable jurisdiction for digital asset innovation, with tokenization becoming an increasingly relevant component of its evolving financial ecosystem.
