El Salvador Serves 21,000 Pupusas in San Salvador’s Historic Center as Part of Bitcoin Histórico Celebration.

This Wednesday, El Salvador distributed 21,000 pupusas in San Salvador’s Historic Center as part of Bitcoin Histórico, a two-day celebration bringing together Salvadorans and international visitors interested in the country’s adoption of Bitcoin.

The event took place at Plaza Gerardo Barrios, where conferences and discussions related to Bitcoin are also being held. Organized by the National Bitcoin Office (@bitcoinofficesv), the initiative aims to highlight Bitcoin’s role as a tool for economic freedom, individual sovereignty, and national transformation.

The pupusas served during the event were prepared with natural beef fat instead of vegetable oils and presented in packaging free of microplastics and aluminum. This approach aligns with the event’s focus on promoting sustainability and responsible consumption within El Salvador’s beloved culinary traditions.

By combining food, culture, and innovation, Bitcoin Histórico continues to showcase how El Salvador is redefining its national identity through community, technology, and tradition.
