Costa Rica Hires Salvadoran Workers Through Labor Migration Program

A new group of Salvadoran workers is set to travel to Costa Rica as part of the Labor Migration Program, an initiative designed to provide safe, legal, and organized employment opportunities abroad.

Through this program, Salvadorans are officially hired by Costa Rican employers, ensuring compliance with labor rights, contracts, and fair working conditions. The initiative is part of El Salvador’s broader strategy to strengthen international labor mobility and create new opportunities for its citizens.

The Labor Migration Program, promoted by the Salvadoran government, facilitates temporary work abroad while maintaining close coordination with host countries. Costa Rica continues to be one of the main destinations for Salvadoran workers under this bilateral cooperation framework.

By promoting secure employment abroad, the program not only supports Salvadoran families with new income opportunities but also strengthens regional ties and labor integration in Central America.
