$730 Million Investment Boosts Commercial and Residential Growth in El Salvador.

Grupo Roble has announced a major investment of $730 million in commercial, residential, and hotel projects throughout El Salvador, further contributing to the country’s economic dynamism. This investment will be split between $280 million for commercial ventures and $450 million for residential developments.

The company plans to expand its presence with several key projects, including the growth of Multiplaza shopping center by 10,000 square meters, the construction of the 14th stage of Metrocentro San Salvador, and the completion of the third stage of Metrocentro Lourdes in Colón, La Libertad. In addition, Grupo Roble will build the iconic JW Marriott hotel, which is expected to become a premier destination in the Metropolitan Area of San Salvador, featuring a chapel and theater to enhance cultural and recreational options in the Multiplaza commercial zone.

Alberto Poma, vice president of Grupo Roble, confirmed that the JW Marriott hotel project will begin its bidding process in March 2025, with construction expected to start within the following months.

The residential segment of the investment includes the construction of six apartment towers, with over 400 units in the Multiplaza area, and additional developments in the Escalón neighborhood and Costa del Sol in La Paz. Furthermore, the group will continue with horizontal housing projects, including the Paseo del Prado and Paseo Las Flores residential developments.

Grupo Roble’s investment is also marked by the opening of their new corporate offices, spanning 3,053 m², located next to the Multiplaza shopping center. The development of these offices created 200 direct jobs and 600 indirect ones.

Luis Rodríguez, executive director of the Metropolitan Area Planning Office of San Salvador (Opamss), commended the company’s efforts, citing it as an example of the growth and modernization in the private sector that is aligning with the country’s strategic goals.
