Diamandis, known for his ventures in technology and innovation, highlighted El Salvador’s attractiveness for investment, calling it “a rocket” due to its security, tax incentives, and business-friendly environment.
In a social media post, Diamandis shared his impressions following a dinner with President Bukele and the First Lady. He noted that El Salvador is “the safest country in North and South America” and pointed to key incentives, such as no capital gains tax, no property tax, and no international revenue taxes, as well as the ability for non-citizens to own real estate in the country. He also emphasized the President’s strong approval ratings, with Bukele enjoying a 90% approval rate.
President Bukele, in a succinct response, wrote: “Listen to the guy,” affirming the positive direction the country is heading in. This recognition further underscores the growing international confidence in El Salvador’s economic transformation under Bukele’s leadership.
