El Salvador Launches New Scholarship Program for Postgraduate Studies in Spain.

In an effort to promote academic growth among its citizens, the Government of El Salvador, in collaboration with Formato Educativo Escuela de Negocios, a business school based in Spain, has announced a new call for applications for postgraduate scholarship programs.

This initiative offers 30 full scholarships for master’s degree programs, which will be conducted online over the course of one year. The scholarship covers tuition fees, study materials, virtual classes, and tutoring, among other benefits.

Karla de Palma, Director General of the Salvadoran Agency for International Cooperation (ESCO), highlighted the importance of this partnership, stating, “The strong relationship and ongoing alliance with Formato Educativo over the past years have opened new opportunities for our people to continue enhancing their knowledge and advancing professionally.”

She emphasized that the program provides a flexible and accessible learning format, allowing participants to balance their studies with work and other responsibilities. She encouraged all eligible individuals to apply and take advantage of this educational opportunity.

Hugo Domínguez, Director of Formato Educativo, also participated in the launch, announcing that 13 specialized master’s programs are available, carefully selected to align with the country’s needs in areas such as business administration, human resources, strategic management, innovation, and marketing.

So far, over 1,000 Salvadorans have benefited from this program as a result of the continued collaboration between El Salvador and Formato Educativo.

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must:

• Be Salvadoran citizens

• Hold a university degree

• Be currently employed in either the public or private sector

• Submit an application form along with a statement of interest and an essay on how they plan to apply their newly acquired knowledge after completing the master’s program.
