Berlin, Germa The Embassy of El Salvador in Germany has successfully facilitated the selection of 88 Salvadoran students to participate in academic and professional training programs in Germany in 2024. This opportunity is part of a dual education agreement established by the embassy in 2019, aimed at enhancing the skills of Salvadoran youth and contributing to the country’s development.

The selected students will pursue studies in mechatronics, electronics, and healthcare. Prior to their departure, they underwent intensive German language training, which will ease their integration and open doors to additional opportunities during their stay.
The program, which lasts three years, combines academic and practical training across various cities in Germany. Salvadoran Ambassador Florencia Vilanova welcomed the students upon their arrival, expressing her pride in securing these scholarships.
“We are delighted to have facilitated these scholarships for our youth. In addition to gaining professional skills, they will gain valuable experiences that will help them achieve their life goals,” stated Vilanova.
The ambassador added that this year’s scholarships, funded at €5.7 million, reflect strong cooperation between El Salvador and Germany. She reaffirmed her commitment to securing further opportunities to support El Salvador’s development in partnership with strategic allies.
The initiative is supported by the Federal Employment Agency of Germany, the German Embassy in El Salvador, language courses from AIS, and various German authorities and companies.
