Ministry of Education Launches Innovative Online Portal for Teacher Development.

In a significant move to enhance educational standards, the Ministry of Education (Mined) has launched a comprehensive teacher training portal designed to support and develop Salvadoran educators. The new virtual platform provides a range of digital resources and continuous improvement programs aimed at modernizing pedagogical and administrative practices.

Education Minister Pineda emphasized the portal’s role in advancing both teaching and administrative skills. “This platform is strategically designed to offer our educators access to a wealth of virtual resources and improvement programs, enabling them to continually refine their teaching methods and manage their responsibilities more effectively,” Pineda shared on social media.

The portal, accessible at https://www.formaciondocente.edu.sv/, features training programs tailored for different educational cycles, resources for new teachers, anti-bribery management courses, and tools for Google Workspace for Education. Additionally, it allows educators to review their historical training data, connect with a network of peers, and explore an extensive academic repository.

This initiative is a key component of the educational reform initiative, My New School, which aims to boost the professional development of teachers and elevate the quality of education across the nation.
