El Salvador Enhances Medical and Energy Sectors with Argentina’s Nuclear Expertise.

The Salvadoran Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced continued efforts in collaborating with key partners experienced in the peaceful development of nuclear energy.

In a significant step towards energy sustainability, Vice Chancellor Adriana Mira and the Director General of the Energy, Hydrocarbons, and Mines Directorate, Daniel Álvarez, held discussions in Bariloche, Argentina. They met with representatives of the National Atomic Energy Commission (CNEA) to explore advancements in nuclear technology and infrastructure.

The talks focused on the CNEA’s expertise in various fields, including medical physics, nuclear medicine, radiology, and radiotherapy. This collaboration is part of El Salvador’s commitment to sustainability and the energy transition, leveraging Argentina’s extensive experience to enhance its own capabilities.

The Salvadoran government remains dedicated to integrating innovative nuclear technologies for peaceful purposes, ensuring progress in medical and energy sectors while adhering to global sustainability goals.
