Municipal Works Directorate Provides Employment Opportunities for 3,000 Salvadorans.

This year, the Municipal Works Directorate (DOM) will be offering employment to 3,000 Salvadorans residing in different regions of the country where the institution is carrying out its projects.

According to Ana Cecilia Serrano, the Human Resources Manager at DOM, through job fairs held in all 14 departments of the country, they have hired 2,000 Salvadorans. The aim is to support individuals who are currently unemployed and enable them to contribute to the country’s development through infrastructure projects.

Serrano stated that during these job fairs, they are seeking workers with knowledge of various trades such as assistant masons, bricklayers, construction supervisors, electricians, plumbers, and all other areas related to construction.

“We’re looking for people who are eager to work,” said Serrano, explaining that interested individuals only need to provide their Unique Identity Document (DUI) and fill out the necessary forms to apply for the available positions, which are open to both men and women.

“We are engaged in construction projects involving bridges, schools, markets, hospitals, and more. We are in search of skilled labor,” Serrano added. She also extended an invitation to Salvadorans to attend the job fairs, as the department expedites the procedures to ensure prompt participation in ongoing projects.

Serrano emphasized that these job fairs have been taking place in various municipalities across the country since last year. “Our goal is to offer employment opportunities to residents of these municipalities, empowering them to secure meaningful work,” she said.
