Dozens of Salvadorans visited the amusement park, located next to the Cuscatlán Stadium, yesterday to enjoy a family day out. The safety ambience is one of the standout aspects for tourists visiting Sivarland, just before the start of the celebrations in honor of the Divine Savior of the World.
“It’s beautiful, and security is practically guaranteed. I feel safe bringing my kids, from the littlest to the oldest. Since last year, we’ve seen significant improvements,” expressed Jimmy Salazar, who traveled from Soyapango with his wife and children to enjoy the fairgrounds.
He added that in previous years, the fair was very different. “Now everything is beautiful and well-organized.”
Another visitor, Alejandra Paz, brought her two daughters to enjoy the rides and treats. “Everything has been great; there’s a lot of activity, and it’s peaceful. Families come here to have a good time, and we feel secure coming here,” affirmed Paz.
The security measures implemented by President Nayib Bukele’s government in coordination with the Metropolitan Agent Corps (CAM) of the San Salvador municipality are creating the conditions for Salvadorans to enjoy their vacations in a safe environment.
On the second day of Sivarland’s opening, Irvin Rodríguez, head of the Technical Unit for Commerce in Public Spaces, along with a team from the capital’s municipality, inspected the food, candy, and other businesses set up at the fair.
“We are verifying the installation process of 95% of the businesses, ensuring there is no invasion of space and confirming that they are using the assigned areas and the electrical system,” said Rodríguez.
According to Rodríguez, this is a joint effort involving Civil Protection, the Ministry of Health, Fosalud, and other government entities. The goal is to ensure that the activities take place in the best possible way.
“We are working together to guarantee safe, orderly, and clean August festivities. Sivarland, in particular, is being built along those lines. We have security elements, around 120 members of the Armed Forces, two police stations, and a 24/7 active video surveillance system, a comprehensive monitoring system,” he added.
As the fair continues to offer an environment of safety and enjoyment, tourists and locals alike are expressing their satisfaction with the improvements and organization of Sivarland, making it an attractive destination for family fun during the festive season.
