The Government of El Salvador will work with Ericsson on 5G connectivity projects, digital ecosystems, the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence

A special delegation made up of several high-level authorities from the government of El Salvador met with the Vice President and Corporate Officer of Ericsson, Mikael Bäck, and with the president of Ericsson for Latin America, Chafic Nassif, to present the investment opportunities that the Connectivity Plan offers in El Salvador with projects such as: 4G and 5G technology for better internet in the national territory; digital ecosystems; artificial intelligence; and the Internet of Things (IOT).

At the meeting, the elements of the Connectivity Plan were explained to achieve access to fixed and mobile broadband services and increase the potential of the Internet to provide continuity of public services in schools, hospitals, clinics, and police stations.

As a result, work will be done with Ericsson on connectivity and education projects contemplated in the Salvadoran government strategy.
