The Ministry of Economy carried out a technical inspection of fuel import ship quality

Today the Ministry of Economy and the Directorate of Hydrocarbons and Mines carried out a technical inspection of a fuel-importing ship to determine the quality of the oil in order to guarantee the economic well-being of the Salvadoran population.

Those in charge of carrying out these verifications were the Deputy Minister of Economy, Mario Salazar, and the Director of Hydrocarbons and Mines, Jorge Hernández.

The inspection of the fuel importing vessel was carried out in the port of Acajutla, in the department of Sonsonate.

These preventive actions are part of the 11 measures to alleviate the global economic crisis that President Nayib Bukele announced during the national broadcast last Thursday, March 10.

On the morning of March 12, the Government of El Salvador delivered the package of economic measures to the Legislative Assembly to protect the economy of the population, which will come into force as of today, Monday March 14.
