PAHO/WHO Highlighted the Salvadoran government efforts against COVID-19

The vaccination strategy against COVID-19 has reached more than 70% coverage of the Salvadoran population with two doses, according to the authorities of the Ministry of Health (Minsal), a percentage that exceeded the estimate that the World Health Organization ( WHO) proposed to the countries before the end of 2021.

The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), has identified that 14 countries and territories have vaccinated 70% of their populations in the American continent region, including El Salvador.

The World Health Organization highlighted El Salvador’s action against the #COVID19 pandemic. Today, during its weekly press conference, the entity reported a 70% decrease in the virus infections in El Salvador, representing a significant drop in the entire region.
