El Salvador Consulate in Los Angeles Partners with Travel Agencies to Boost U.S. Tourism.

As part of a broader economic and tourism diplomacy effort, the Consulate General of El Salvador in Los Angeleshosted a strategic gathering with local travel agencies to promote the Central American nation’s growing tourism sector. The initiative, designed to open new avenues for American travelers, was supported by Salvadoran hotel chains, tour operators, and key industry stakeholders aimed at showcasing the country’s diverse attractions.

During the event, Lya Salazar, Event Coordinator for the El Salvador Tourism Corporation (CORSATUR), presented the nation’s premier destinations and immersive travel experiences. Complementing the destination showcase, Volarisrepresentative María Luisa Yúnez highlighted the convenient direct air connectivity options bridging Los Angeles and El Salvador, emphasizing seamless travel for prospective tourists.

Consul General Alejandro Letona underscored El Salvador’s cultural richness, warm hospitality, and remarkable transformation into a top destination. “El Salvador is a country to be enjoyed—to explore its destinations, savor its gastronomy, connect with its culture, and experience the warmth of our people, all with the peace of mind that comes from being the safest country in the Western Hemisphere. We will welcome you with open arms,” he stated.

This strategic showcase highlights the Salvadoran Consulate’s ongoing commitment to partnering with key international allies to expand the country’s global footprint and attract more American visitors to its shores.
