El Salvador and Saudi Arabia Explore Investment Opportunities in Energy, Tourism, Logistics and Technology

El Salvador is strengthening its efforts to attract international investment from the Middle East, with new discussions focused on opportunities that could support employment, production and the expansion of Salvadoran businesses.

During the 81st United Nations General Assembly (UNGA81), Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Adriana Mira met with Yazeed S. AlYahya, CEO of Saudi Eksab, to explore potential areas for investment and economic cooperation. Saudi Eksab describes itself as an international investment entity focused on strategic investments in frontier and emerging markets, with a mission that includes supporting socioeconomic development.

The discussions identified several sectors of interest in El Salvador, including energy, logistics infrastructure, agribusiness, tourism and technology services. The potential areas align with the country’s broader investment strategy and with Saudi Eksab’s stated focus on cross-border investment and long-term partnerships.

According to El Salvador’s investment promotion agency, the country is positioning itself as a destination for international investors, offering opportunities across sectors such as tourism infrastructure, food and beverages, electrical components and automotive parts.

The engagement with Saudi Eksab adds a Middle Eastern dimension to El Salvador’s international investment outreach, while highlighting the government’s efforts to connect strategic sectors with foreign capital, business partnerships and opportunities for economic expansion.
