El Salvador is strengthening its international trade presence as a group of Salvadoran companies presented their products at F İstanbul 2026, a major food, beverage, and production technology trade fair in Turkey.
The participation was coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through El Salvador’s diplomatic mission in Turkey, with the goal of promoting national exports, connecting local businesses with international buyers, and opening opportunities in Turkey and broader Asian markets.

Salvadoran companies specializing in specialty coffee, honey and honey-based products, cookies, cocoa and chocolate, and alcoholic beverages took part in the four-day event, showcasing the diversity and quality of the country’s export portfolio.
Salvadoran Ambassador Héctor Jaime highlighted that the country’s participation helped strengthen El Salvador’s profile as a potential trading partner with a competitive, export-oriented economy.
Throughout the fair, Salvadoran representatives held meetings with retailers, distributors, supermarket chains, importers, and businesses from the hotel, restaurant, and café industries, creating opportunities for commercial partnerships and future market access.
The diplomatic mission also facilitated discussions with Turkish business associations MÜSİAD and DEİK, focusing on potential trade opportunities and strengthening connections between the two countries’ business communities.
According to Ambassador Jaime, F İstanbul provided an important platform for introducing Turkish buyers and consumers to the quality, variety, and commercial potential of Salvadoran products.
Recognized as a leading food-industry trade fair in Turkey, F İstanbul brings together hundreds of exhibitors and more than 15,000 professional visitors from nearly 100 countries, covering activities across the sector’s entire value chain.
El Salvador’s participation underscores the country’s continued efforts to diversify export destinations, promote Salvadoran brands abroad, and expand commercial ties with international markets.
