Elon Musk Highlights El Salvador’s Free Grok Access for Schools

Elon Musk has drawn attention to El Salvador’s use of artificial intelligence in education after highlighting the country’s provision of free access to Grok in schools.

Musk commented on an interview with Jen Kha, managing partner and head of global partnerships at Andreessen Horowitz, in which she identified El Salvador as an example of a country moving quickly to integrate AI technologies.

Kha noted that educational institutions in El Salvador have been given free access to Grok, while the country is also advancing the adoption of artificial intelligence tools in healthcare. She pointed to El Salvador and South Korea as examples of rapid AI adoption as other nations continue debating the infrastructure and energy requirements needed to expand the technology.

Musk’s public reference places renewed international attention on El Salvador’s efforts to incorporate artificial intelligence into key sectors, particularly education and healthcare, as the country expands its digital transformation strategy.
