El Salvador Expands Specialty Coffee Reach with Exclusive Peru Tasting Event.

El Salvador is accelerating its diplomatic and commercial strategy to gain market share in the global specialty coffee sector. In a key move to strengthen commercial ties within South America, the Embassy of El Salvador organized an exclusive tasting event in Peru, presenting the rich profiles of its finest volcanic-soil beans directly to industry leaders and local connoisseurs.

The initiative was held in collaboration with Coffee Busters, a celebrated specialty coffee venue located in the upscale district of San Isidro, Lima. The event served as a strategic platform to showcase the country’s agricultural heritage and position premium Salvadoran coffee across high-end restaurants and coffee shops in Peru’s capital.

Industry representatives and coffee professionals sampled three of the country’s most iconic and sought-after varieties: Cuscatleco, Bourbon, and Pacamara. The showcase highlighted the complex acidity, dense body, and distinct aromatic profiles that make Salvadoran specialty beans highly prized in international markets.

By leveraging trade diplomacy, El Salvador aims to open new distribution channels throughout the region. As one diplomatic representative noted during the event, “Our goal is to build strong, lasting relationships with key players in South America’s gastronomic industry while positioning Salvadoran specialty coffee at the top of the global market.”
