El Salvador is strengthening its artificial intelligence infrastructure as ANIA, the country’s AI agency, advances the deployment and optimization of a new high-performance computing cluster designed to support increasingly demanding AI workloads.
ANIA recently collaborated with AI specialist Marc Seal, who provided technical guidance on scaling the agency’s new 4x DGX Spark cluster. The work focused on key areas including model selection, distributed multi-node training, and workload optimization to improve computing efficiency.
The initiative represents a step toward developing the technical capacity required to train and operate increasingly sophisticated artificial intelligence models. By optimizing distributed computing resources, ANIA aims to maximize the performance of its infrastructure while creating a stronger foundation for future AI applications.
Images shared by the agency showed networking equipment, switches, and cabling supporting the high-performance computing environment. ANIA described the progress as a significant milestone, emphasizing that its current infrastructure development represents only the beginning of a broader AI strategy.
The investment in advanced computing infrastructure reinforces El Salvador’s ambition to establish itself as a regional leader in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, while building the technical capabilities needed to support innovation, research, and AI-driven solutions.
