El Salvador is strengthening its international outreach to attract high-value investment by promoting its innovation and technology ecosystem in South Korea through the Korea–El Salvador Innovation Forum, an initiative organized by the Salvadoran Embassy in the Republic of Korea.

The event brought together representatives from approximately 15 South Korean companies, startups, and organizations specializing in technology and innovation to explore El Salvador’s progress in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies, while identifying opportunities for future strategic partnerships.

During the forum, Salvadoran officials presented the country’s advances in building a modern legal and regulatory framework that supports digitalization, digital assets, technological innovation, and the responsible adoption of artificial intelligence across multiple sectors. These initiatives have positioned El Salvador as an emerging regional hub for innovation and technology-driven development.

Participants also learned about the country’s competitive business environment and the growing opportunities for collaboration between Salvadoran institutions and South Korean companies, universities, research centers, and private-sector organizations. Such partnerships are expected to accelerate the development and implementation of artificial intelligence solutions while fostering knowledge exchange and investment.

The forum underscored El Salvador’s broader strategy of expanding international cooperation with leading technology economies to encourage innovation, attract foreign investment, and strengthen the country’s digital economy.

By deepening ties with South Korea’s innovation ecosystem, El Salvador continues to position itself as an attractive destination for technology companies seeking new opportunities in Latin America while advancing its vision of sustainable economic growth through digital transformation and artificial intelligence.
