El Salvador continues to expand its efforts to support the successful reintegration of returning citizens through comprehensive programs that foster entrepreneurship, employment, and long-term economic stability. Over the past seven years, more than 45,300 Salvadorans have benefited from initiatives designed to help them rebuild their lives and contribute to the country’s development.
Led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, these initiatives provide seed capital, technical and vocational training, and access to the Transforming Lives program, creating pathways for sustainable livelihoods and greater financial independence. The strategy aims to empower returnees with the skills and resources needed to establish businesses, secure employment, and strengthen their communities.
The Salvadoran government has emphasized that economic reintegration remains a key pillar of its migration policy, promoting inclusion and opportunity for those returning home. By investing in human capital and entrepreneurship, El Salvador seeks to transform migration into a catalyst for national growth while improving the well-being and resilience of Salvadoran families.
