El Salvador continued advancing its diplomatic agenda with the United States through a high-level meeting focused on bilateral cooperation and shared strategic priorities. Ambassador Milena Mayorga and Foreign Minister Alexandra Hill met with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau to discuss issues of mutual interest and reinforce the longstanding partnership between both nations.
According to Ambassador Mayorga, one of the key topics consistently promoted with U.S. authorities is the valuable contribution of Salvadorans to the economic and social development of the United States. She emphasized the importance of recognizing the positive role of the Salvadoran community while strengthening bilateral ties.
During the meeting, Landau also acknowledged El Salvador’s humanitarian support for Venezuela and the country’s participation in the Pax Silica initiative, highlighting recent actions that have expanded El Salvador’s international engagement in humanitarian assistance and technological cooperation.
The discussions reaffirmed the commitment of both governments to maintaining close collaboration on diplomatic, economic, and strategic matters, reflecting the continued strengthening of U.S.–El Salvador relations and the country’s growing presence in regional and international affairs.
