El Salvador is broadening its humanitarian response in Venezuela as emergency teams extend their efforts beyond search and rescue operations to provide critical aid for communities affected by the recent earthquakes. President Nayib Bukele emphasized that while every life saved represents hope, the country’s mission also focuses on addressing the urgent humanitarian needs of those impacted by the disaster.
According to Bukele, Salvadoran personnel are distributing essential supplies, including food, drinking water, medicines, and medical equipment to strengthen emergency relief efforts. The humanitarian operation aims to support vulnerable families while improving the capacity of local responders during the ongoing crisis.
The mission also includes healthcare professionals and specialized personnel providing direct medical assistance in hospitals and affected communities. In addition, veterinary teams are treating animals injured or displaced by the earthquakes, expanding the scope of El Salvador’s humanitarian support.
By combining search-and-rescue operations with medical services, humanitarian aid distribution, and veterinary care, El Salvador continues to reinforce its role in international disaster response. The comprehensive mission reflects the country’s commitment to assisting Venezuela through coordinated relief efforts designed to protect lives, support recovery, and address the immediate needs of both people and animals affected by the emergency.
