CID Gallup Executive Recognizes on National Television That Costa Rica Achieved Greater Peace After Receiving Security Strategy Guidance From El Salvador’s President Bukele

Luis Haug, General Manager of CID Gallup, highlighted the growing regional recognition of El Salvador’s security transformation during an interview on Salvadoran national television.

During the televised conversation, Haug was asked when Costa Rica had publicly acknowledged receiving guidance from another Central American nation regarding public security. In response, he noted that Costa Rican authorities openly thanked El Salvador for sharing security recommendations inspired by President Nayib Bukele and his Territorial Control Plan.

According to Haug, Costa Rica recognized the effectiveness of the Salvadoran strategy and associated the improved climate of peace and public safety with the policies implemented under Bukele’s administration. The comments reflect the increasing international attention surrounding El Salvador’s security model, which has significantly reduced crime rates and positioned the country as one of the safest destinations in the region.

The Territorial Control Plan, launched by the Salvadoran government as part of its broader security agenda, has drawn attention from political leaders, analysts, and international observers interested in understanding the country’s rapid transformation in public safety and governance.

As El Salvador continues to gain recognition abroad for its security achievements, regional discussions surrounding crime prevention and anti-gang strategies are increasingly placing the country at the center of the conversation in Latin America.
