El Salvador Attracts $50 Million Industrial Investment as Lactolac Expands Nejapa Operations

Lactolac will begin a major expansion of its production plant in Nejapa through a $50 million investment aimed at strengthening industrial operations, logistics, and production capacity in El Salvador.

According to information shared by COAMSS-OPAMSS, the project includes the modernization of manufacturing processes, incorporation of new machinery, and improvements to storage and distribution infrastructure.

The expansion is expected to reinforce the company’s operational capabilities while contributing to economic activity and industrial development in the metropolitan area of San Salvador. Officials highlighted that investments of this scale continue reflecting growing business confidence in El Salvador’s economic environment.

The modernization of the Nejapa facility also aligns with broader efforts to improve productivity, supply chain efficiency, and regional competitiveness within the food and beverage sector.

Observers note that El Salvador has increasingly attracted investments tied to manufacturing, logistics, and infrastructure modernization amid ongoing economic transformation and public security improvements promoted under the administration of President Nayib Bukele.

The Lactolac project adds to a series of recent private-sector investments that continue positioning El Salvador as an expanding destination for industrial growth and regional business operations in Central America.
