In San Salvador, the Government of El Salvador and the Italian Cooperation Agency inaugurated a $3.8 million housing complex that provides dignified homes for cooperative families. The initiative reflects a growing commitment to secure housing and improved living standards.
The project benefits 64 families, offering safe apartments equipped with community spaces such as a multipurpose hall, a basketball court, and a children’s playroom. “This is a concrete result of joint work between our governments, benefiting 180 people,” emphasized Italian Ambassador Paolo Rozo.
Housing Minister Michelle Sol highlighted the importance of the investment, noting that families will now have the opportunity to live in secure and adequate homes. “With this project, they will enjoy a place of their own, safe and suitable for living,” she stated.
This delivery builds on earlier efforts, including a similar project of 40 apartments completed earlier this year. The addition of commercial spaces within the complex is expected to generate income opportunities for residents.
The collaboration between El Salvador and Italy underscores a shared vision of urban development and social well-being, reinforcing the government’s broader strategy to provide dignified housing solutions across the country.
