El Salvador continues to advance its digital transformation as more than 1.3 million citizens now complete government procedures online through the Simple SV platform, according to the Secretariat of Innovation. The system allows users to carry out official processes securely without traveling to public institutions.

By enabling online procedures, Simple SV helps Salvadorans save time and avoid traffic congestion, a daily challenge in urban areas. Citizens can now manage their paperwork from anywhere, reducing long lines and repetitive visits to government offices.
“More than 1.3 million Salvadorans already have a digital identity to carry out their procedures securely and from wherever they are. Simple SV is already working and making life easier for people,” the Secretariat of Innovation stated on social media.
The platform has also shown significant usage. To date, more than 4.5 million government procedures have been completed through Simple SV, reinforcing the government’s goal of simplifying public services under the slogan of fewer steps and more solutions.
“Today, handling government procedures is super easy with Simple SV. Salvadorans are managing their paperwork quickly and easily online, without standing in lines. That’s not a story—more than 4.5 million procedures have already been completed,” the Secretariat of Innovation added.
