El Salvador continues to strengthen its position as a regional hub for prestigious sporting events with the start of the third edition of the Americas Winners Cup 2025 this Monday. The tournament is being played at the Beach Sports Stadium of the Flor Blanca Sports Complex and at the beach court of the University of El Salvador. The competition will run until December 7, bringing together top beach soccer clubs from across the Americas.
On the opening day of competition, Costa Rica’s Municipal Poás faced Mexico’s FP Riviera Maya in a Group C match at the Flor Blanca venue. Municipal Poás demonstrated clear superiority throughout the game, leading 5–3 by the end of the second period and ultimately securing a 6–3 victory, becoming the first winner of the tournament.
By hosting international events like the Americas Winners Cup, El Salvador reinforces its growing reputation as a reliable and well-equipped destination for major sports competitions, boosting both its international profile and sports tourism sector.
