The Embassy of El Salvador in Sweden has successfully facilitated the arrival of Swedish investors interested in establishing wellness centers in El Salvador, reinforcing the country’s commitment to attracting international investment and promoting sustainable development.

The wellness centers, to be located in San Salvador and Surf City, will feature a gym, daycare, beauty salon, and a range of additional services. Ambassador Patricia Godínez highlighted the Embassy’s role in supporting these initiatives, emphasizing that promoting investment abroad is a key function of Salvadoran diplomatic and consular missions.

During their visit, the Swedish delegation met with representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Directorate of Economic Relations and Invest El Salvador, receiving guidance on business development and regulatory procedures. They also held discussions with the National Institute of Sports (INDES) and the Directorate of Integration to explore collaboration in sports, wellness, and community programs.

Key members of the Swedish delegation include Chris Ishoo, padel expert at Allstars Training Center, and Reza Madadi, former gold medalist of the Swedish Mixed Martial Arts Championship. Together, they agreed to advance a cooperation plan focusing on three main areas: training and high performance, clinics and training camps, and coach certification in coordination with INDES. The program also includes technical exchanges between Salvadoran coaches in Sweden and Allstars experts in El Salvador.

The delegation was introduced to Urban Centers for Well-being and Opportunities, multi-sports complexes, and youth-focused programs, gaining insight into the integration of wellness centers into community activities. These centers will also support scholarships and sponsorships through the “Effort and Glory” program, promoting access to sports and development opportunities for young Salvadorans.

Ambassador Godínez stated, “We will work on designing a Training and Skills Development Program, certified by INDES, that combines sports, social integration, and opportunities for children, youth, and our communities with our partners in Sweden.”

The partnership highlights El Salvador’s growing appeal as an investment destination for wellness, sports, and community-focused projects, strengthening international cooperation and sustainable development in the country.
