El Salvador and Bolivia Seal New Partnership as President Rodrigo Paz Pereira Takes Office.

El Salvador and Bolivia have marked a new stage in their diplomatic and economic relations with the signing of a memorandum of understanding to establish the first El Salvador–Bolivia Binational Chamber. The agreement was described by the Salvadoran Vice Presidency as “a historic milestone in the economic and trade relations between both nations.”

The signing coincided with the inauguration of Bolivia’s new president, Rodrigo Paz Pereira, attended by El Salvador’s Vice President Félix Ulloa as an honorary guest representing President Nayib Bukele. During their meeting, Ulloa presented an overview of El Salvador’s transformation in public security, stating that the country has “reversed decades of violence and insecurity, becoming today the safest nation in the Western Hemisphere.”

Ulloa conveyed President Nayib Bukele’s interest in paying an official visit to Bolivia to strengthen ties of friendship and cooperation. He also invited President Paz to visit El Salvador to exchange experiences and explore future collaboration.

This renewed engagement between both governments underscores their shared commitment to deepen political dialogue, promote bilateral investment, and advance Latin American integration for the benefit of their people.
