Forbes Central America has described El Salvador as a “magnet for investments,” recognizing the country as one of the most attractive destinations for foreign capital in the region. The publication highlights the growing climate of confidence that has encouraged significant business projects across multiple sectors.
Among the most notable recent investments is Walmart’s $264 million plan to expand its store network over the next five years, enhance technology, and strengthen its omnichannel strategy. The new store in Santa Tecla will serve as a model of sustainable innovation, featuring electric vehicle charging stations and clean energy systems.
Additionally, Tigo has announced a $205 million investment to expand digital connectivity, while Grupo Calleja will allocate $50 million to new supermarkets and distribution centers.
These initiatives reinforce El Salvador’s role as a regional hub for opportunities and business growth, supported by a stable economic environment and pro-investment policies under President Nayib Bukele’s administration.
