El Salvador continues to strengthen its partnership with the private sector to drive economic growth and create new opportunities for its citizens. The latest example is Valle Dulce, a $1 billion mixed-use smart city project led by Urbánica Real Estate in collaboration with the government, set to transform San Salvador Oeste over the next 15 years.
Luis Rodríguez, executive director of COAMSS-OPAMSS, described Valle Dulce as “the largest mixed-use project in the country, an investment that will generate approximately 5,000 direct and indirect jobs each month, supported by public investments and the strengthened security that we now enjoy.”
The ambitious master plan will include several key developments: Portal Valterra, an integrated and sustainable community; Distripark, an industrial park; Alturas del Valle, the first vertical housing towers in Apopa; and Estación del Valle, a shopping center covering more than 8,000 square meters.
With a total investment of $1 billion spread over 15 years, Valle Dulce is projected to create more than 1,500 direct jobs and 5,000 indirect jobs annually, boosting local economies and improving the quality of life for thousands of Salvadorans.
Alejandro A. Dueñas, executive president of Urbánica, emphasized the project’s transformative potential, saying that “Urbánica presented Valle Dulce, a new city in San Salvador Oeste, with an investment exceeding $1 billion.”
Rodrigo Ayala, president of INVEST, summarized the essence of the initiative: “Investment flourishes when three elements converge: will, demand, and vision. The government provides the will, the population brings the demand, and Urbánica contributes the vision that transforms realities.”
Valle Dulce stands as a symbol of the new El Salvador — one defined by dignified employment and housing, responsible investment, organized urban development, and renewed confidence in the country’s future.
