El Salvador’s President of the Consumer Defense Agency participated as a speaker at the VI International Consumer Protection Conference organized by SEDECO in Paraguay.

During his presentation, he shared the progress El Salvador has made in strengthening its legal and institutional framework to benefit consumers. “I am grateful for the opportunity to share the reforms we have promoted in El Salvador, both legal and institutional, to strengthen consumer protection in favor of our population,” he stated.

The Salvadoran representative highlighted initiatives such as the expansion of consumer rights, the reinforcement of the agency’s competencies, new areas of action, and positive results already achieved for citizens. “It was an honor to be invited as a speaker at this important conference, a space to reflect on the need to strengthen consumer protection frameworks,” he added.

He also expressed gratitude to Minister Sara Irún and the SEDECO team for the invitation and the opportunity to share El Salvador’s experience on the international stage.
