Expo Café Uruguay Connects Salvadoran Baristas and Producers with South American Buyers.

El Salvador recently took part in the fourth edition of Expo Café Uruguay 2025, an event that brought together professionals and enthusiasts to celebrate the world of coffee. For two days, attendees in Montevideo explored new trends and shared their passion for this beverage. El Salvador presented its own stand, where visitors enjoyed guided tastings of different varieties of Salvadoran coffee. A guest barista demonstrated specialty preparation methods and explained the unique qualities that distinguish coffee from El Salvador. Local producers and exporters also participated, showcasing their products and strengthening the country’s reputation for high-quality beans.

The participation was organized by the Embassy of El Salvador in Uruguay and the Salvadoran Coffee Institute as part of the country’s Economic Diplomacy agenda. The goal was to position “Café de El Salvador” as a specialty product in the Uruguayan market while fostering direct connections between producers and potential buyers. This initiative not only highlights the excellence of Salvadoran coffee but also promotes the image of El Salvador abroad, the organizers said. Expo Café Uruguay 2025 also featured lectures, masterclasses, live demonstrations, and competitions, making it an ideal platform to enhance commercial ties and showcase the country’s coffee heritage.
