The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced that El Salvador will host International Aviation Day on December 9, bringing together global leaders in air transport, tourism, and government to discuss the nation’s growing role in international connectivity. The event will provide a platform to explore El Salvador’s opportunities to strengthen its aviation sector and solidify its position as a global tourism destination.

Industry experts and executives will join government officials to examine key issues including air transport challenges and priorities, major tourism and infrastructure projects, new opportunities for tourism, and the nation’s path toward becoming a competitive aviation hub. Sessions will also cover El Salvador’s history and future in aviation, carbon-neutral goals for 2050, and the country’s potential to become one of the world’s largest aircraft maintenance centers.
Organizers highlighted that the event will not only foster dialogue but also serve as a space for high-level professionals to build connections, while offering attractive sponsorship opportunities for companies to present their products, solutions, and services to airlines, airports, and related sectors. International Aviation Day in El Salvador will be a unique opportunity to showcase the nation’s role in global air connectivity, IATA noted.
