The governments of El Salvador and Argentina have signed a new agreement to establish direct flights between both countries, marking a significant step in strengthening bilateral ties, tourism, and economic opportunities.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Adriana Mira confirmed the signing of the accord through the Salvadoran Civil Aviation Authority (@aacelsalvador). The initiative falls under El Salvador’s Open Skies policy, which seeks to expand international air connectivity, attract investment, and position the country as a regional hub for travel and commerce.

The agreement is expected to boost tourism flows, business travel, and foreign investment, while providing Salvadorans and Argentinians with greater access to each other’s markets.
This step further aligns with President Nayib Bukele’s broader strategy to modernize infrastructure, promote international partnerships, and consolidate El Salvador as an attractive destination for travelers and investors across Latin America and beyond.
