El Salvador is participating in the 2025 Ibero-American Congress of Parks and Public Spaces, an event that brings together representatives from member cities of the Union of Ibero-American Capital Cities (UCCI).
Held as a platform for knowledge exchange, the congress fosters a regional network of professionals committed to the transformation, management, and sustainability of public spaces. Participants engage in thematic forums, presentations, and moderated discussions aimed at strengthening urban connectivity and community well-being.
“We are brought together by the shared ideal of building public spaces that are not just for transit, but that connect societies,” said Ricardo Cantú, Mexico’s ambassador to El Salvador.

El Salvador’s Minister of Tourism, Morena Valdez, emphasized the importance of regional collaboration and cultural exchange. “These events help us share experiences, learn from one another, and recognize that our culture and our cities have many things in common,” she noted.
Valdez also underscored the government’s ongoing commitment to developing inclusive, safe, and recreational spaces for Salvadoran families.
