Siemens Launches First Xcelerator Summit in El Salvador, Highlighting Digital Growth.

El Salvador hosted the Siemens Xcelerator Summit for the first time, reinforcing its efforts to attract investment and boost economic growth through technology. The event gathered officials, business leaders, and tech experts to explore digital transformation opportunities across key sectors.

Minister of Economy María Luisa Hayem and Minister of Tourism Morena Valdez attended the summit, highlighting El Salvador’s push to become a regional innovation hub. “We’ve won the lottery with Siemens choosing El Salvador for this first summit in Central America,” said Hayem.

Dietmar Hoppe, CEO of Siemens El Salvador, described the summit as a platform to promote collaboration and digital growth. “For a country like El Salvador, it’s essential to turn today’s challenges into opportunities using the latest technologies,” he noted.

Minister Hayem pointed to recent reforms, including the Law for the Promotion of Innovation and Technological Manufacturing, which offers 15-year tax incentives to attract tech companies. She also highlighted new laws on digital assets, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and robotics.

“This event is part of our efforts to position El Salvador as a growing tech hub,” Hayem added.

The summit reflects El Salvador’s progress in creating a safe and attractive environment for innovation under President Nayib Bukele’s administration.
