The Embassy of El Salvador in Korea impressed visitors at the 2025 Gongneung Forest Trail Coffee and Culture Fair, Gyeonggi-do’s premier coffee event. Organized by Nowon District and the Coffee Critics Association (CCA), the fair drew over 40,000 attendees, including locals, foreigners, and coffee experts.

El Salvador’s stand offered tastings of high-quality coffee alongside colorful displays inspired by artist Fernando Llort. Visitors learned about the country’s coffee varieties, processing methods, and rich sensory profiles, while also engaging in four art workshops for children and adults that highlighted Salvadoran creativity.

This unique blend of culture and coffee promoted the country’s export potential and traditions. “Events like this allow us to position El Salvador not only as a producer of exceptional coffee but also as a creative, resilient nation proud of its roots,” said Ambassador Jaime López.
The embassy’s presence strengthened El Salvador’s image in Korea, reaffirming its commitment to cultural diplomacy through coffee, art, and national identity.
