Salvadoran Embassy Leads Coffee Diplomacy at Morocco’s Agricultural Fair.

The rich aroma and outstanding quality of Salvadoran coffee captivated visitors at the International Agricultural Show in Morocco (SIAM 2025), held from April 21 to 27 in the city of Meknes. This global platform served as a gateway to promote the unique flavor of El Salvador’s specialty coffee and to open new trade opportunities.

El Salvador’s participation was coordinated by its embassy in Morocco, as part of national efforts to support local producers and strengthen the country’s coffee sector. The embassy led various promotional activities, including tastings and information sessions on Salvadoran coffee farming. Business meetings were also held with companies interested in importing the bean.

“This event allowed us to position Salvadoran coffee as one of the world’s finest and connect with potential buyers from Morocco and beyond,” said embassy representatives during the fair.

With over one million attendees, according to SIAM organizers, the show provided exceptional exposure for Salvadoran coffee. The country’s presence not only highlighted its renowned product but also reinforced ongoing export strategies, especially after a recent historic shipment of three containers of Salvadoran coffee to Morocco.

Thanks to these efforts, new exports to this destination are expected in the near future.
