President Nayib Bukele’s Government continues to drive forward the economic and cultural transformation of El Salvador with the inauguration of the Interactive Artisan Development Center (Cedart). This pioneering initiative aims to empower micro and small enterprises (MSEs) in the country’s vibrant artisan sector.

Located in the heart of San Salvador’s Historic Center, the new Cedart will serve as a modern, inclusive space that merges technology, art, and Salvadoran cultural heritage. The center will provide vital infrastructure and comprehensive services to foster innovation, training, and commercialization within the artisanal community.
Led by the National Commission for Micro and Small Businesses (@CONAMYPESV) and supported by the Special Fund for Resources from the Privatization of ANTEL (Fantel), the Ministry of Tourism (@MITURElSalvador), the Ministry of Culture (@culturasv), and the Historic Center Planning Authority (@AutoridadchSV), this initiative reflects the government’s commitment to inclusive economic growth and cultural preservation.
“The Interactive Cedart will strengthen the productive, commercial, and creative capacities of artisan entrepreneurs,” said project leaders. “It’s not only a space for development but also a symbol of how culture and innovation can go hand in hand to shape a sustainable future.”
With an emphasis on professionalization and global market access, Cedart is set to become a strategic hub for artisan SMEs, contributing directly to local economic resilience and the promotion of El Salvador’s rich cultural identity on the international stage.
